Clear terms create clear expectations. This Service Agreement outlines the terms, responsibilities, fees, and conditions that govern investigative services provided by Ingress Investigations, helping ensure a professional, transparent, and mutually understood relationship with every client.

Acceptance of Terms

These terms of service (the “Terms of Service”, “Terms and Conditions”) govern the use of INGRESS Investigations, LLC (the “Agency”, “Ingress”, “Ingress Investigations”) and www.ingressinvestigations.com (the “Site”, “Website”). The Site is owned and operated by INGRESS Investigations, LLC and the site is a consultation. 

By using this Site, you indicate that you have read and understand these Terms of Service and agreed to abide by them at all times. 

THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CONTAIN A DISPUTE RESOLUTION CLAUSE THAT IMPACTS YOUR RIGHTS ABOUT HOW TO RESOLVE DISPUTES. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, INGRESS Investigations shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of this website or reliance on information provided herein.

Users assume responsibility for their use of this website and any actions taken based on information obtained through it.

Age Restrictions

The minimum age to use our Site is eighteen (18) years old. By using this Site, users agree that they are over the age of eighteen (18) years old. We do not assume any false legal responsibility for false statements about age. 

Website Availability

INGRESS Investigations does not guarantee uninterrupted access to this website and reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue website functionality at any time without notice.

Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless INGRESS Investigations from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from misuse of the website or violation of these Terms of Service.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri without regard to conflict of law principles.

Refund Policy

INGRESS Investigations is committed to providing professional investigative and intelligence services with transparency and fairness. Because investigative work often begins immediately upon engagement and may involve research, planning, database access, travel, and other non-recoverable expenses, refunds are subject to the terms outlined below.

Refunds For Flat-Rate Service Packages

Services offered at a fixed or flat-rate price, including tiered service packages, are considered earned upon commencement of work and are generally non-refundable.

Examples may include, but are not limited to:

  • Background and due diligence packages
  • Digital intelligence packages
  • Asset and financial intelligence packages
  • Skip tracing packages
  • Risk assessment packages
  • Fixed-fee research services
  • Surveillance and field work services

Once work has begun, no refunds will be issued for completed or partially completed flat-rate services.

If INGRESS Investigations determines that work has not yet commenced, a refund may be considered at our sole discretion.

Refunds For Hourly and Retainer-Based Services

Refunds For Hourly and Retainer-Based Services

For investigations billed on an hourly basis or funded through a retainer, clients may be eligible for a refund of unused billable hours or unearned retainer funds.

Refunds may be issued for:

  • Unused investigative hours
  • Unused surveillance hours
  • Unused research hours
  • Remaining retainer balances not earned through services performed

Any work already completed, including investigative activity, research, reporting, travel, administrative case management, or other billable services, will be deducted from the retainer balance prior to any refund.

Non-Refundable Expenses

The following expenses are non-refundable once incurred:

  • Public records fees
  • Database access fees
  • Court filing fees
  • Third-party vendor costs
  • Travel expenses
  • Postage and delivery expenses
  • Process server fees
  • Any other authorized out-of-pocket expenses

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be available when:

  • A case is terminated before all authorized hours have been utilized.
  • A retainer balance remains after all earned fees and expenses have been deducted.
  • Services cannot be completed due to circumstances beyond the client’s control and no substantial work has been performed.

All partial refund determinations are made based on documented work performed and expenses incurred.

Cancellation Requests

Clients wishing to cancel services should notify INGRESS Investigations in writing as soon as possible.

Cancellation of services does not relieve the client of responsibility for fees, expenses, or services already performed prior to receipt of the cancellation request.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will generally be processed within 14 business days of final case review and accounting reconciliation. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method whenever practical.

 

Questions Regarding Billing or Refunds

Clients with questions regarding invoices, retainers, earned fees, or potential refunds are encouraged to contact INGRESS Investigations directly for clarification.

INGRESS Investigations reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this website with an updated effective date.

Dispute Resolution

Subject to any exceptions specified in these Terms of Service, if YOU and INGRESS Investigations, LLC are unable to resolve any dispute through informal discussion, then YOU and INGRESS Investigations agree to submit the issue first before a non-binding mediator and to an arbitrator in the event that a mediation fails. The decision of the arbitrator will be final and binding. Any mediator or arbitrator must be a neutral party acceptable to both YOU and INGRESS Investigations. 

Notwithstanding any other provision within these Terms of Service, YOU and INGRESS Investigations agree that both retain the right to bring an action in small claims court and to bring an action for injunctive relief or intellectual property infringement.

Severability

If at any time any of the provisions set forth in these Terms of Service are found to be inconsistent or invalid under applicable laws, those provisions will be deemed void and will be removed from these Terms of Service. All other provisions will not be affected by the removal and the rest of these Terms of Service will still be considered valid.

Changes to Terms

These Terms of Service may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to the way we operate our Site and the Agency as well as the way we expect users and clients to behave on our Site and at our Agency. We will post the notice of the changes on this Site.
